The present book is the 9th volume of the multidisciplinary series Studies in the Reception History of the Bible. Simultaneously, SRB 9 is the third contribution to the project “Where are you, Adam? A New Understanding of Adam in Jewish-Christian-Muslim Context” funded by the Academy of Finland. In this volume contributors discuss exegetical and folkloristic motifs in the pseudepigraph Life of Adam and Eve, which has been preserved in different languages and cultural milieus.

The international Network for the Study of the Reception History of the Bible was established in 2006. Its aim is to promote research in the reception history of the Bible in various disciplines including Biblical and Judaic studies, Patristic, and Medieval studies.
